My name is Deidre Sequeira, and I am the author of Isla Emerged. I reside and teach in San Antonio, TX. I enjoy reading, karaoke, and late night dinners and coffee at Jim’s diners. I have my B.A. in English with a Concentration in Teaching Certification and am a great proponent of education, especially of the arts and humanities.

I began taking writing seriously when I was in the 8th grade, while taking a creative writing class at school. It changed everything for me. I realized that I could contribute to the world of books that I was in love with. It would be many years before I finished a project and got things in line to actually publish, but that year was the start of an incredible journey.

I can’t wait to see where it leads next.
